Bloom |
May flowers are blooming, Northern fields are lush, But the world is somewhat lifeless, Leading to an eerie hush. The loud sounds of silence, Are getting harder to bear, But the earth says, "Fear not, For summer is here." On the beckoning of nature, Life tentatively leaves its retreat, To embrace summer's offerings, Despite its devouring heat. Sales go up for the ice-cream man, Light clothes are all that we choose; But then we say "farewell o summer! The divine clouds are ready to cruise" And then the amorphous clouds in the sky Bless us in torrents; Mother nature, we know is overjoyed, For her bountiful rains commence. Exuberant chirping of the birds, Pearls of water on grassy blades, All this and more the rain offers us, And then, it begins to fade. Now it's time for autumn, world, So trees are no more adorned, Their verdant beauty turns to gold, And soon winter dawns. The golden hue of autumn now, Gets covered with a blanket white, The lights of Christmas and virgin snow, Are truly a visual delight. Now the sun has rested long enough, It's time for it to be awake, He peeps out from behind the foggy clouds, And the earth lets go of its drape. The gurgling brooks flow once again, The cuckoo begins to sing, Nature acquires an extravagant hue, And lo, behold, it's spring! So, on and on, this cycle flows, Mother Nature, you ARE clever! For one will come, and one will go; And the cycle will go on forever. |
